I started watching One Piece in May 2023. Now in Aug 2024, I'm at episode 1015. I watched every episodes including fillers. I only skipped the special episodes (new year episodes, anime collab episodes)

You could have made Megumis mother live. That's the easiest way to get Toji to not kill Riko and Megumi would change as well since he is being raised by 2 loving parents. This would have simply made the what if more intresting

Red Keeper is the only worthy comparison since he reminds people of Homelander in like three scenes, while of course being vastly more one-dimensional than Homelander. Other than that, there's not much similarity in what is actually happening on screen. This WOULD be like The Boys, if we had an entire, badly paced season of The Boys focusing on some school program for future The Seven candidates, who then have to do some ass boring tournament style tests that all boil down to "fight each other" (though with none of The Boys' visciousness) to see if they're worthy. Y'know, like thousands of other manga/anime have done before.

Minor correction, the tree at the end housed the surviving piece of the original organism of “life” that created the titans through Emir. It was within Erens head and since they buried his head instead of destroying it, the organism survived and grew within the tree until it was discovered again by the kid who is speculated to be a descendant of Mikasa bc they’re wearing a red scarf

I think when Toji would in fact become the main antagonist, Gojo and Geto would try to find out more about him, so they could know why he does what he does etc. I think they would eventually stumble upon his neglected son and maybe, either in an effort to have leverage against Toji (maybe hoping deep inside there are feelings for his son) or just because they feel for Megumi and see his potential they would then get him under their wings. I also think the mission with the twins and Geto could still happend, just end very differently. Without Geto snapping, just him also taking the children in and then the twins and Megimu would kinda be raised alongside each other prob by the three friends. If so, the first season of JJK as we know it could still happen, if we assume Kenjaku would just find another body and enact his general plan that way. What I can't really imagine is Geto and Gojo being able to just let Riko vanish? What would they tell the higher ups? That she got eaten by a Shikigami or something? And if the higher ups had found out they would have hid Riko, I don't think they would be allowed to be Sorcerers anymore, so that would be what could change the story as we know it drastically in my opinion xD The rest could still kinda happen, Gojo could still almost die if that's what he needs to become more responsible or something, this time Geto just has to sense Toji sooner, keep him occupied until Gojo comes to the rescue.

I have a very thorough dislike for the plastic feel 'HD' anime offers. The old episodes people like to talk bad about have a very, at least to me, strong warmth and personality to it. Nami stabbing her arm in the reboot just doesnt quite hit the same, nor does the raw feeling of Zeff, or the Mihawk fight. I prefer the old episodes. They were in a good place early Wano, but they went overboard with animation. Whitebeard, in his gritty 'bad' 4:3 ratio and non-HD, cracking the air and summoning a tsunami felt 100x more powerful than the sakura-petals-out-of-nowhere and giant-earth-shattering-lasershow-sword we saw in Wano. And while Wano was certainly a highlight in animation of One Piece; i want to accentuate the difference between old and new. Maybe my preference to old anime comes down to nostalgia. But ive yet to find a newly released anime that can capture my attention - and as such i stick to manga nowadays. Which atm revolves around my personal big three: Kingdom, One Piece, Ippo.

What sucks is how different we all understand this show. I get it now but then user204721 adds something that makes sense and I lose it again😔

I love old sfx. But my god watching one piece mages them so annoying after a while. And same for the music. I love every single track the anime has but after a while it just becomes like filler for your ears. I would love for every dramatic scene to have its own spin on the music that fits the mood instead of those midi trumpets blasting in my ears.

It was a sad ending honestly. The fighting never will end.
